Blend of Tempranillo of 40 years old in a claycalcareous soil and pebbles at 360 metres altitude. Graciano over 20 years old in a very poor soil, high composition in plaster and clay planted at 450 m. altitude. Grenache planted in 1978 in the slopes at above 500 m. with clay-ferrous soil. Grenache is made in 300 litre barrels with several daily punching down, while the other varieties are made in tanks of 13,000 L of stainless steel and French wooden vats of 24.000 L. Aging 24 months.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep intense garnet with terracotta tinges.
Aroma: An evolving smoky spicy aromatic wine with well assembled aromas of fruits of the forests, ripe strawberries, plum, black cherry and soft wafts of coconut.
Taste: A soft acidity with smooth satin tannins and medium body with long lingering flavours of earthy black peppercorns.
